Football

Sports is an extracurricular everyone like. I like to play different sports as well. Cricket, frisbee, basketball, badminton, table tennis, etc. A very popular sport ‘football’ is a game which I was playing for the past 3 months. It is a sport where there are two teams and they pass the ball and score goals. The game runs for 90 mins with excludable extra time. There are 11 players on each side.

Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth

I identified my strength and weakness while playing football for 5 months. My strength is goalkeeping I am a good goalkeeper of my house and grade, Not the best but good. My weakness is that I can’t play defense, midfield because these are the key players of the team as they need to have good stamina and endurance as they are the playmakers. I can play strike but not that good. I feel that I should increase my stamina so I can fill up any vacant place in tournaments and matches.

Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

While developing this new skill I faced the problem of lack of speed. This would create a gap while warmup in every class. This was challenging due to my physicality. I overcame this challenge by giving up my 110% in every drill and also externally increasing my stamina by doing cardio exercises.

Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Working with others is easy for me because it divides work between ourselves and it can be done in less time. It was easy for me to work with others as this is a team sport and here we need to coordinate and collaborate to play a nice game. Yes, there was a person who was a bit greedy, he didn’t pass. the ball to anyone and always was losing possession for the team, but we somehow managed him. It is important to work collaboratively because that is not only implemented in sports but can be implemented in real-life.

As evidence supervisor form has been filled out as this activity was done in school.
