serving to senior school teacher

I and my peers of race to embrace decided to serve our MYP and DP teacher umbadiyu and gajar ka halwa during their lunchtime and it was a surprise for the teacher.

LO 1 Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

When we were filling the umbadiyu, shredding the carrot and putting the paste inside the veggies was my strength. But, cutting the vegetables while grating the carrot is my weakness because I get terrified when the carrot grows smaller. In addition, due to our shared fear of fire, when we were instructed to gather wood sticks to put on the fire to bake the meal, we instead all threw them from a distance, damaging the foil we had used to cover the pot and causing it to fill with ashes. I created and learned a brand-new recipe that requires a lengthy and difficult process but is also enjoyable. Also, when we are aware of our strengths and limitations, it makes it easier for us to go forward and learn from our errors.

LO 2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

As previously mentioned, there were many difficulties encountered when preparing the two dishes. For example, when making umbadiyu, we had to cut the vegetables into four pieces in order to fill them with paste. The hardest vegetable to work with was the purple yam because it is very hard, difficult to cut, and extremely slippery. Additionally, at first, the vegetables’ balance in the pot was off, but it eventually improved over time. Because of the quantity, we all started to get tired while grating the carrots for the second meal. The weight was greater than 5 kilograms. never tried something comparable, not even once. Since I was learning both recipes for the first time and how to properly cut and peel vegetables without damaging them, I picked up a lot of new abilities.

LO 3 Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

the initiative was taken among us we all had a word and discussion we wanted to show our teachers that we are grateful also planning wasn’t difficult initiating the plan was difficult because on the same day, we had our night out so the timings and there were people adding last minute. after this experience planning or initiating will be easier in the future.

LO 5 Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

working with all my peers was easy for me working together makes the work easy and also we can be each other strength so for example if I am not great with chopping but my peer is it will be easy for us altogether.
