Reading has been my habit for the past 5 years. Every year I try to read more books than the previous year. The idea of the event originated from a conversation that I had with my two friends about the book we read recently. We talked about how reading should be a habit and everybody should give a chance to read. So, for inculcating this habit in school we came up with the idea of having a book shuffle. Wherein, we circulated a form in which people write the author and title of the book they are giving in this event and the genre of the book, we mentioned the rules as well which were to return the book in 30 days.

We got 50 participants who enrolled for this event. We used our creative minds for choosing a sustainable way to wrap the books so that nobody knows who has given which book and there would be no bias. We generated an individual code for each book to make it easy for us to give and collect the books.

Within the span of 3 days, the books were wrapped and titled with the code and the genre. After that, on the 27th we set up a table we’re in we kept books by bifurcating them with their specific genre. Later the people came and collected the book and after a month people returned the book to us and we gave the books back to the people who submitted the books for the event. This way we started to inculcate a healthy reading habit in school.
