feeding street dogs(CAS service)

The biggest challenge for me in feeding street dogs was that I am extremely scared of them, but over time of going to feed them, I became more comfortable in feeding them. I wouldn’t say that I am not scared of them now but it’s better than before. I started to feed them at around 7 in the evening so by the 3rd-4th day, they made it a routine, they come back at the same time every day now near my house, wagging their tails for food. They give us their love in exchange for food which just feels extremely nice.

LO3: Demonstrate and initiate how to plan a CAS experience

First of all, I had to plan a time when I know my friends were, we had to coordinate among ourselves and decide which places we should go where more street dogs would be present, we also had to go through google to check which food we can feed them and which can be dangerous for them( grapes can be poisonous for dogs…like what!?). We fed them a good amount of nutritious food.

LO6: demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

starvation in street animals is a major issue worldwide.

LO4:show commitment to perseverance in CAS experiences.

I had to show optimum commitment in packing nutritious food every day at almost the same time and going to various locations that we had planned.
