IP MUN stands for Modern United Nations. It consists of delegated who represents different countries in different committees. Each committee has been curated with the idea of engaging the delegates in the most riveting manner. These are places where individuals are challenged and groomed, not just as humanitarians but as successful men and women. To a give more real world experience, this year, we have bought it new concepts like IPL auction house, the international press, and the most favorite of all UNHRC.
I am very curious and interested in knowing about world current affairs, MUN gave me an opportunity which is why I participated. My role was slightly different , this is my first time contributing to an event on a scale of around 100 people. Hence it was good opportunity , to experience something , hence I enrolled my self as an OC ( Organizing committee ) member.

One of my best attributes is formal communication. This skill, together with my skill for time management, will enable me to complete the task that a member of the organizing committee assigned to me on schedule. Me being an art-oriented personality, creativity and decorating are among of my greatest strengths, I was able to help by offering various decoration suggestions for the many events that were scheduled for those two days. Knowing my skills and weaknesses has made me feel understood and educated, and it has given me the opportunity to enhance and improve.

This event was completely based out of Fountainhead schools .It was based at a different school , where there were different policies , different rules and so many work to do, and everything had to be done by the committee with accuracy and cooperation. I gained knowledge on how to work as a team, get along with others, and blend people’s skills and flaws during this activity.

It was difficult since agreement was frequently necessary despite disagreements in viewpoint; hence, cooperation was neither an option nor a choice. A future event like the MUN would be effective if planned and starting early and in advance. It’s crucial to know how to organize and launch events to ensure that the particular event’s schedule and activities go off without a problem.

In order to complete my roles and responsibilities as a member of the organizing committee, which included calling delegates to confirm their participation in the Model United Nations, finding delegates, and other tasks with set deadlines, I had to demonstrate my commitment to and perseverance in this activity. I used to make sure that my work was completed within the time range I was given, so it was simple for me to commit to things.

I find it difficult to work with individuals in formal discussions ,and agreements , because sometimes , I have difference of opinions , and wants things to work my way , hence this MUN was a challenge to me .Despite that I understood other’s viewpoints , and made decisions as a team member.

Discussions, formal deliberations, and answers to important global concerns including the situation of Kashmiri pandits, the Russia-Ukraine war, and others. In order to preserve peace for future generations and prevent them from joining a world riven with hatred, injustice, and violence, it is crucial for young people in this generation and era to learn about important global concerns. Understanding these global challenges will help me grow up to be a wise adolescent, which is the first step in bringing peace to the world.

There were no particular difficulties, other than the fact that we, as a group, would like to uphold ethics and morals, as well as the roles and responsibilities of being a young person or a teenager in our society. Our locations eventually shifted, but we still had to uphold moral principles and figure out how to resolve this.
After IPMUN, I learned a lot about working as a team member, collaborating with many types of individuals who have a variety of unique skill sets, combining them to create a successful event that is memorable for everyone.
