CAS Reflection_ Crumple Papermaking

Recently I have joined a project named Crumple. The main aim of the project was to recycle waste papers and make new sustainable papers to make a book out of it and then donate it to the children for free who can’t even afford a book for their studies. I joined the group because it was catering to a genuine issue and also I wanted to do service so this was a suitable time to show my service so I joined this group. We were divided into groups of 8 and were called to school early to make papers. Our group leader Dhwanil Shah made the liquid portion from torn papers, newspapers, and we used that portion to make new papers. At that time we were called for 1 slot and we made roughly around 100 papers and our leaders took those pages to make books for donation.

LO 3 – To work on this project we worked collaboratively and made papers. We work in pairs so 1st I will make paper. At that time my friend will help me and then vice versa.

LO 5 – It was a challenge for us to make 100 pages in a 45 mins slot but coordination and working constantly helped us to make 100 pages. The skills that I learned for how to make paper will help me in the future. If I want to do service again I will use the same method to make papers and donate to poor children. LO 6 – As we recognize and remember the issue of global climate change that is exhibited because the paper is constructed from timber and timber offer us oxygen lack of plenty of timber is already main to a discount Of oxygen developing increasingly more papers from slicing timber can result in extreme degradation of oxygen withinside the environment and this is why we determined to recycle papers as opposed to developing new papers that might result in greater pollution.
