Cycling

For this CAS experience, I tried to put in some activity so that I can look into the various benefits of a healthier lifestyle. For achieving the same, I decided to go for regular cycling, through which I was able to incorporate some kind of physical activity into my lifestyle. This experience not only helped me fill my CAS blog but also helped me to make some adjustments in my lifestyle to make it better and healthier. Not only this, but I also wanted to improve by seeing what my limit at the start and end was and comparing them both to see a change of any kind.

Learning Outcome 1:

The main thing that I had to focus on over here was the various strengths and weaknesses I had. Even though cycling is a simple sport, I still had to keep in mind how I should save my stamina and try to go long rather than go fast. Identifying these would then help me plan my trips and measure the amount of improvement and then see how I can improve or what I can do better.

Learning Outcome 2:

The main challenge that I had undertaken was the fact that I was not as physically active so I had to adapt myself to be more active and more outgoing so I can motivate myself to go ahead with this. Not only this, through the experience, I was able to push myself which made me even more motivated. I was able to overcome this problem but not to such an extent that I was satisfied with my actions. It was important to undertake this because I was then able to go out a do something not only for my physical but mental state as well.

Learning Outcome 3:

It was required that I plan my course of action as that would be the only thing that would help guide me and keep track of my progress. Not only this, but I would also be able to know where I am lacking behind or where the scope of improvement is higher. A plan was required as it helped me to better understand where and how the course of action would go and when I needed to make a change.

Learning Outcome 4:

It was important for me to commit to this experience because only if I commit, only then the change would be visible. Commitment is very necessary whenever we are doing something as it then shows how involved we are to bring the change where we want to see it. It is important to commit to this action because it then helps bring about effective change to the self and the surroundings.

Learning Outcome 5:

Even though cycling could be a one-person job, I found out that working and practicing with others seemed to be more effective than working alone. Not only did the group help in providing company, but it also helped in motivating all the members to get up and do the practice so that we can maintain our commitment and conduct the practice regularly.
