Farwell of the batch 2022 has been one the grandest events at FS! To make this day memorable for the current batch of grade 12, good performances were really important. I volunteered for the dances and got a part of it. I learned many new skills, new techniques and in the end, I could finally dance.
LO 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Dance was not something I was used to doing or I have done before. While practicing I came to know that I can do new things, even the ones I’ve done before. The area of growth was that my body was not flexible enough and my body was stiff which caused my body to ache after every practice. So I identified that I had to loosen up my body.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Certain challenges that I faced were to come early on the days I have summative assessments. In order to manage the studies and also take a productive part in the dance practices , I studied late at night , made use of the free slots and also after coming from school and also go for dance practices until my summative assessment were over. I also learned so many new things such as new dance moves , flexibility and also new skills like time management skills and balancing both studies and dance practice.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences:
It was difficult to give enough time to the Farwell decorations, despite my busy schedule, but I showed commitment towards this experience and somehow managed it well. There were clashes in timings of practice , sometimes we were not able to get a common time but we demonstrated perseverance, adjusted ,shifted timings and finally made it in the end.
LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
I am usually good at working together collaboratively . Considering this, it was easy for me to work with others during this experience . So , working collaboratively did make things easier as everyone could help each other. For instance, somebody is not able to do a particular dance step so others will show . In this way, the work was happening more efficiently in less time. Hence, I recognized the benefits of working collaboratively.
