{"id":3876,"date":"2022-03-23T09:00:42","date_gmt":"2022-03-23T09:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/classof2023.fountainheadschools.org\/?p=3876"},"modified":"2022-03-23T09:00:42","modified_gmt":"2022-03-23T09:00:42","slug":"lawn-tennis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/classof2023.fountainheadschools.org\/index.php\/2022\/03\/23\/lawn-tennis\/","title":{"rendered":"Lawn tennis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br>I have always liked to play lawn tennis but never had a chance to play so I decided to use this opportunity and take it up as my CAS so that I would get to learn a new interesting sport, I have also seen a few games and realised that is a fast-paced agility game which is an interesting and fun part of the sport, it is a bit faster paced than badminton due to the aerodynamics, I have wanted to play the sport mostly due to these reasons.<br><br>LO 1 &#8211;<br>Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth. I understood my skills, my weaknesses and strategized my practice that focused more on a rally and lesser on service and smash as in those skills I was well versed.<br><br>LO 2 &#8211; <br>Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.<br>I did many rally practices and services, and I did this to have control on the ball so that in a match I would have better mobility and movement making it difficult for the opposition to score a point on me, I practised the rally so I would be more accurate, I also learnt different types of service, for example, flat serve or slice serve.<br><br>LO 3- <br>Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.<br>I created a detailed plan to understand what skills I should focus on and what I should do to <br>I decided to work most on rally and service and lesser on smash and spin.<br><br>LO 4-<br>. Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.<br>I had shown perseverance by working hard and continuously practising lawn tennis, I had been having few rallies from different speeds so I would learn how to adapt to different speeds, I also served a lot to get perfect control on the ball, I committed to learning lawn tennis and practised a lot to refine my skills.<br><br>LO 5-<br>5.
