CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) is an experiential learning framework that encourages students to engage in meaningful and challenging activities outside of the classroom. As part of my CAS program, I decided to focus on giving food to dogs. In this reflection, I will discuss my experience and what I learned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service: Giving food to dogs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started giving food to stray dogs in my community. I noticed that many of these dogs were undernourished and in need of food. I started buying dog food and distributing it to these dogs on a regular basis. It was a small but meaningful way to give back to my community and to help these animals in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activity: Building relationships with dogs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I continued to give food to these dogs, I started to build relationships with them. It was a rewarding experience to see them become more trusting and comfortable around me. I also learned about the different personalities and behaviors of each dog, and I enjoyed spending time with them and observing their unique qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflection: What I learned<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giving food to dogs was a rewarding experience that taught me about the importance of service and empathy. It was a small but meaningful way to give back to my community and to help those in need. I learned about the impact that small acts of kindness can have on others, and how it is important to be mindful of the needs of those around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through giving food to dogs, I also learned about the importance of building relationships and connecting with others. I saw how building trust and forming connections with the dogs allowed me to better understand their needs and to provide the best possible care for them. I also learned about the importance of taking care of animals and being responsible for their well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, my experience of focusing on giving food to dogs as part of my CAS program was a positive one. It was a valuable learning experience that taught me about the importance of service, empathy, and building relationships. I am grateful for the opportunity to have made a positive impact on the lives of these dogs, and I look forward to continuing to give back to my community in meaningful ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
